· Do you take deposits?
No, we have found that it helps our customers out to collect the full amount the day of the event and we have a contract with you that reserves your date. Often times DJ’s that need to rent equipment require the deposit to get things reserved for your event. We own all of our own equipment with a warehouse in Tigard.
· What kind of equipment do you use?
We use only professional state-of-the-art disc jockey equipment. We also use CD players and wireless UHF microphones. Our set-ups are very attractive and unobtrusive.
· Do we sign a contract?
Yes. Beware of any DJ that has no contract for you. Contracts protect the customer as well as the company.
· Once a contract is signed can you change the event date?
We accept changes in event dates provided the new date is available. There is no extra cost to you for the first change! Beware of disc jockey services that may charge you extra to change the first date change.
· Once a contract is signed can we cancel?
We know plans can change. If you have to cancel, we’ll collect a small cancellation fee and use it as a credit towards a future event no matter when it is. Remember, we have no deposit but its not unreasonable that we have a cancellation fee. Many DJ’s will charge you a non-refundable deposit and charge you a cancellation fee on top of that.
· Are some of your Disc Jockeys better than others?
The equipment we use is virtually identical and we use the same music library. Each DJ has been trained in the same manner, so their performances are very similar. We’ll customize your wedding reception to your needs.
· Can we see you perform?
As we understand your reasoning for wanting to view an event and as we understand that many publications say that you should, no, I'm sorry, we firmly feel that DJ’s who allow perspective customers to come to other customers events is inappropriate. We just don’t feel that people who suggest that practice are thinking it all the way thru. If we are using an event as a sales platform for potential customers then we cant be focusing on that event. You defiantly wouldn’t like your DJ inviting people to your reception or event after paying good money for the entertainment would you? We hope you understand that the practice of inviting others although being helpful to the potential customer is only disruptive to the customer’s event you are visiting. We do have client reviews for you to look at and would be more than happy to meet with you. I also encourage you to visit the better business bureau's web site were we hold a satisfactory rating, the best you can have with the bureau. While not only playing up to 8 events a week we also do this full time so you can rest assured that we have the experience needed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
· Do you charge for travel or setup?
Depending on where your event is we may charge a minimal fee only because of the increase in fuel prices. Its best to just give us a call and we can easily let you know what the fee would be.
· Can the DJ stay longer?
We love a good party, for evening events it’s never a problem. For daytime events, we suggest booking the DJ ahead of time (we may have an evening event afterwards)
· When do you arrive for the reception?
We’ll be there to setup one hour in advance. It only takes about 15 minutes to set up our equipment, so in the unlikely event of any technical problems, we can solve them well before the start of your wedding reception.
· Can you play music for the ceremony?
We are often asked to supply ceremony music, all you have to do is schedule us to play for that time. We suggest scheduling us to start 30 minutes before the ceremony time. Also, there is a small fee if the sound systems needs to be moved to another location so we have developed our ceremony sound system (you can see a full description on our weddings page).
· Can you play music to entertain all our guests?
That's exactly what we do! We all have the ability to "read a crowd" and will select a mix of music that will touch upon everyone there. We’ll have music with us for every generation.
· Do you play requests?
Yes. We have our music list available for download on our web site.
· Do you provide special requests?
We'll try to get it (and we rarely fail!) If you ask us for it, there’s a very good chance that someone else has asked for it before. If you like, you can also supply anything specific that you already own.
· Do you take breaks?
No.
· Do I have to provide the DJ a meal?
It’s not necessary. Thank you though.
· What will the DJ wear?
We will always dress the way you want us. We can come in tuxedo or dress for a themed event.
· How much will you use the microphone?
We try not to overdo it. We feel your guests are not interested in hearing our disc jockey "ham it up" over the microphone.
· Can you provide lighting effects if we need it?
Yes, and at very little extra cost for a basic light show.. If requested, we can supply many different effects.
· Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes. We have a complete backup system available for every event!
· Will your DJ drink alcohol at our event?
No. It’s against our company policy.
· What if our Disc Jockey gets sick or has an accident?
We always have equipment and DJs in reserve just in case of illness or something unforeseen. We realize how important we are to the success of your event and we are very careful not to take any chances.
· Are there any taxes?
No. DJ services are not subject to sales tax.
· Why are you so cheap?
We aren't cheap, but I'll also say that many of our competitors are over-priced. Their CD’s are the same as ours and our equipment is as good. Our DJs likely have more experience due to the amount of show frequency. I guess the difference is that our competitors want to do 1-2 events in a weekend and make a lot of money. We don't look to make a lot of money off of any single event.
· Why are you so expensive?
Well, we have packages that are very affordable because these days many folks are on a budget and we’re here to help.
· Do I tip the DJ?
That’s up to you. If you feel the DJ does a great job, you may tip the DJ.
· Will you travel to me?
We really service the entire Northwest. It is not uncommon for us to travel 400 miles away.
· How far in advance do we need to book?
Most people book their DJ from 4-6 months or more in advance.. However, on many occasions we book dates just a few of weeks ahead of time.
· Can we use a credit card to pay for your services?
Yes. Simply fill out the credit card authorization form, fax it to us and we will process your card.
· We want to book you. What do we do next?
